Fiona Whytehead Director of Locus Coaching.
Kathy said of her experience with working with me:
I had three amazing havening sessions with Fiona. We worked on my fears and feelings of inadequacy, being “not good enough.” Fiona is authentic, open-minded and completely non-judgemental, a truly empathic (empathetic) coach. She guided me through the process gently, explaining each step and each possibility thoroughly. I felt completely safe in Fiona’s competent hands and always felt more alive and invigorated by the end. The sessions definitely had a positive effect on me, and my well-being, and I feel capable and confident enough to use the techniques on myself if little upsets come up in the future.
I highly recommend Fiona and her havening skills to anyone looking to dismantle their fears or trauma-induced responses.
I am a qualified executive and development coach and communication skills trainer, who uses havening as part of how I work. I also bring to the mix experience and expertise from previous careers as an actor and a professional fundraiser. I help people to feel comfortable in their own skin, speak with their own true voice and reach for the life they want.
Prior to incorporating havening, I knew that many of the reasons why people are held back from developing their potential and loving themselves is down to unhelpful messaging in their own heads; and it was often related to past experiences and traumas that were getting in the way of them living the life they want with self-belief. Havening I discovered can unlock this negativity by going straight to the source: your own brain and nervous system.
Geraldine told me after our sessions:
Following the trauma I experienced of being trapped in a lift with no way of contacting the emergency services in January this year, I had been left feeling fearful of being out of control and “things going wrong” in my every day and work life and being close to tears in a way that I had not previously experienced. The Havening session I had with you today left me feeling lighter and able to think about the lift experience in a non-emotional way. I enjoyed the process and it really helped to be able to talk about the trauma in one location and then do the Havening work in another, physically separating past thinking from the new way of thinking about the event.
For Geraldine this trauma reached out to negatively affect her professional and personal life, in her case the havening was all she needed from our work together. People have brought wide-ranging issues such as a general fear of dealing with money, and an ability to trust in relationships, as well as very specific ones such as not being able to sing in public. They also of course have been left our sessions with the ability to self-haven to further enhance their progress.
Fear of public speaking is something I have worked with a lot and once we have broken the emotional link to any trauma holding a person back, as I am a speaking skills trainer, we can build on the space created by Havening, and my clients get practical training. Then the way is clear for them to get promotion, give great speeches, and manage interpersonal relationships well at work and in life.
